5 Korean Dramas that deserve a second season

Lately, Korean Dramas are getting a second season easily but I feel like there are dramas that truly deserve one! So I decided to make a small list of dramas that I’ve watched and thought that they really need a second season! This is based on my own preferences.

Liar Game: (2014)

I still can’t forget this drama or it’s ending even though it’s been almost 5 years since it aired! It’s on my top 10 favorite dramas, It was so good, I remember I got hooked from the first episode, It was truly full of excitement and unpredictable twists! This was also my first Shin Sung Rok & Lee Sang Yoon drama and SSR’s line in the end “It’s not the end, It’s the beginning. This was just a test” and then his character disappeared in a car accident, doesn’t this just prove that it needs a second season?

The drama is about various contestants take part in a game show with a prize of 10 billion won wherein contestants are encouraged to cheat and lie. The contestants who able to cheat the others will wins the prize but debt if he/she loses the game. Contestants include genius swindler Cha Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yoon) and naive college student Nam Da Jung (Kim So Eun). Signal: (2016)

I still sometimes listen to the OST, it just has a special place in my heart, I really love this drama so much! It had a happy ending but I still want to see the three leads together! This drama was truly perfect, from the story to the acting and I really think it deserves a second season and thankfully writer Kim Eun Hee actually hinted that season 2 may air this year! *fingers crossed*

The drama is about a walkie-talkie in the present somehow picks up signals from a detective Lee Jae Han (Jo Jin Woong) who he is in the past. Police profiler Park Hae Young (Lee Je Hoon) finds this walkie-talkie and uses it to help solve cold cases. The team starts to solve infamous cold cases, but communicating with the past has consequences.

The Good Wife: (2016)

I loved watching this drama even though it’s not the genre I usually drawn toward. It had an amazing cast and acting, intelligent writing and an intriguing storyline. I haven’t watched the original, so I really have nothing to compare it to. I loved how our protagonist was gaining strength as the story progressed, she seriously had good chemistry with both leads and Yoon Kye Sang won my heart here. I will do anything just to see this amazing cast again!

The drama is about a woman, Kim Hye Kyung (Jun Do Yun) who assumes responsibility for her family after her husband, Lee Tae Joon (Yoo Ji Tae) is thrown into prison after a very public scandal. Lee Tae Joon is a prosecutor with the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office who gets sent to prison and whose wife is then propelled to return to her former career as a lawyer to support her family.

Secret Forest: (2017)

I know it’s another strong drama with strong cast hehe this drama is love! It has great writing, great acting and great directing! I can’t believe that it had only one case yet the development was interesting and unpredictable till the end! The leads didn’t need any romance to show their amazing chemistry! I really hope they give us another season!

The drama is about a chase thriller where a prosecutor who has lost his emotions explores the secrets inside the prosecution office and chases the real criminals along with a righteous police officer.

Moon Lovers – Scarlet Heart: Ryeo (2016):

I’m not sure if this drama needs a second season but i’m sure we at least deserve a special episode so we can get the happy ending we deserve especially that the cast have already filmed a scene in the present but they somehow didn’t air it! I really hope they decide to release it some day…
