5 Korean Dramas that made me cry my eyes out

I don’t usually enjoy watching melodramas but some of them are just so well-made that even though they made me cry in each episode, I still love it! Here is a small list of dramas that made me cry my eyes out.

Just Between Lovers:

This drama was a masterpiece. They played with our hearts till the last minute. I really cried in each episode but it was worth it because It was so good. I remember at first, i thought it will be just another typical drama where the leads fall in love while sharing the same trauma but it was more than that, It talked about mental health and the hardship of choosing the right path over the easy one! It was realistic and beautiful!

Plot: The story is about two individuals who lost their loved ones in an accident and try to carry on with their lives as if they are not in pain.

It’s Okay, That’s Love:

Another drama that talks about mental illness! This drama had more comedic elements but still didn’t fail to make me cry. To me, this was one of the best dramas ever made. Believe me, while watching it, you’ll laugh, cry and you will come to understand the character’s traumas and happiness. The writing, directing, acting and osts, everything was perfect about this drama.

Plot: Jang Jae Yul is a famous mystery novelist and popular radio DJ who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). When he meets Ji Hae Soo, a first-year psychiatry fellow at the hospital where he is being treated, they help each other work through their deep-rooted emotional issues. But how will Jo Dong Min, Hae Soo’s senior colleague and first love, and Lee Pul Ip, Jae Yul’s girlfriend, feel about their growing closeness?

I Miss You/Missing You:

To me, this was one of my favorite melodramas, It was so good and I loved it so much but it’s now ruined because of the male lead’s dirty scandal. Ugh i still remember their move when they want to forget a bad memory *sad* I think this is the best Yoo Seung Ho drama, he nailed his character so well in that young age. I also loved the younger version of the leads, Yoo Ji Goo and Kim So Hyun had a really good chemistry.

Plot: Han Jung Woo has been a homicide detective for 2 years and he is looking for his childhood love. Lee So Yeon is a fashion designer and often dream of Han Jung Woo searching for her…Meanwhile, Kang Hyung Joon is a cold-hearted, charismatic fund manager, who tries to take revenge on Han Jung Woo because of the troubled relationship within their family.

Kill Me Heal Me:

My first Ji Sung drama! I know I was late to discover his talent hehe This drama was well-written, beautiful, heart-wrenching and totally unforgettable. The drama succeeded in transiting from comedy to tragedy in a second. It talked about a sensitive topic which is multiple-personality disorder but in a softer and uncontroversial way.

Plot: Cha Do Hyun is the third generation of a chaebol family who suffers from multiple personality disorder after going through numerous life-threatening traumas. As he tries to get back on his life on the track with the help of a resident doctor, Oh Ri Jin. The “seven people” whom he created in his body began their battle to be the final dictator that will have control over his life. Meanwhile, Oh Ri On is Oh Ri Jin’s twin Brother who is a genius writer. He is determined to find out the secrets and stories of this third generation Chaebol, starts following him around to uncover them but unexpectedly forms an empathy for him instead. The OST still one of my favorite

I just love this drama, from the writing, directing and acting, It’s all so good. Please watch it!
