Let’s Talk: What’s NetizenDrama watching this month? (January)

Hello beautiful people, How have you been? I’m back again with Let’s talk for this month! I know I didn’t do it for months now but I was a little busy with personal things but I promise I will be more consist!

It’s a new year but we are still stuck with some 2018 dramas hehe But before I start talking about dramas, I want to thank you for all your support and love especially on my twitter account, I still can’t believe I have reached 18K!!! It’s crazy and I’m so thankful! I also hope you like the new website! I know I have moved a lot from Blogspot to WordPress and now to here but hopefully this is the last time lol

So now I’m gonna stop rambling and start talking about what’s important a.k.a dramas

I. Dramas that I’m watching:

1. The Last Empress – Empress Dignity:

This drama is crazy or at least it used to lol now it’s more stable but it still has unexpected twists and surprised! This drama is a true crazy makjang that made everyone addicted! now don’t get me wrong I really like the drama however i feel like it got less exciting then it used to! I felt like the writer is just going with what the viewers want, first they wanted more sunny x na wang sik but now they want sunny x lee hyuk! look i love Shin Sung Rok but Lee Hyuk is a bad person, yes the circumstances and his mother made him like that but that doesn’t change what he did! I truly hope the writer doesn’t make sunny forgive him, yes she can pity him for the way he lived, but don’t make her simply forget that he tried to kill her, he killed na wang sik’s mother & more! But I’m still curious to see how things will end and as I said on my twitter account if sunny & na wang sik don’t get a happy ending, I will have to kill someone lol

2. Memories of the Alhambra:

I will soon write a review about this drama after it ends but for now I will just say that I’m disappointed but then again it has the same writer as W so what was expecting! The drama’s concept is so unique and it really started so well and strong but the development truly ruined it for me! I’m still not fond of the romance, I still think It started out of nowhere, they make them kiss out of nowhere as well! Like there are more important things to do! I love Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye and at this point, I’m only watching it because of them and also to see how things will end! will the writer be able to explain everything in the end? *I doubt it*

3. Clean With Passion For Now:

A lot of people were against this pairing because of the age gap, which I get it! However, I was really excited for this drama I really love the leads I was especially excited to see Yoon Kyun Sang finally in a rom-com! The drama started really well, but I don’t know if it’s because the 2 weeks break I felt like the last episodes were less exciting than before, not to the point where I want to drop it but still. I feel like I’m watching it just for the leads and their behind the scenes videos lol Please check them out if you haven’t they are more fun to watch then the actual drama *sorry not sorry*

4. The Crowned Clown:

I haven’t been this excited for a sageuk drama ever since Rebel (If you haven’t watched that drama please do!) Yoo Ji Goo truly shined in this drama with his amazing acting as 2 different characters! Also, the writing, directing and the acting of all the actors are really amazing! I really hope it stays this strong till this end because so far I’m truly loving it!

5. SKY Castle:

You can say I saved the best for last hehe I really don’t know what to say about this drama, what should I talk about and what not! I don’t want to spoil anyone! This drama is truly a masterpiece, from brilliant writing to directing and to an amazing cast/acting, that it makes you truly forget the time while watching it! The drama talks about such a serious subject which is South Korea’s education system and what rich parents will do just to get their kids to college, Of course with a mix of mystery and a little bit of comedy here and there! I’m really in love with this drama and I can’t believe it will be ending soon! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Let’s Talk: SKY Castle Episode 18

II. Dramas I have dropped/On-hold:

I really still don’t know whether I dropped these dramas or they are just on hold lol

  • Children Of Nobody: This drama is so good and I refuse to say I’m dropping it! I’m really trying to find the time to finished because the story is totally my type! It’s full of mystery and even though It’s on hold for me I still recommend people to watch it!
  • Boyfriend: This drama is weird lol the story doesn’t have anything special to it, It may feel boring sometimes but I always end up smiling whenever I’m watching it! It is shot beautifully and It always leaves me in awe how everyone just looks so beautiful! I stopped at episode 11 but I will definitely try to finish it, I’ve reached this point it will be a waste to drop it hehe
  • My Strange Hero: This drama/the leads are cute! The thing that made me put this drama on hold or maybe even dropping it is the story! It’s a story about Bok Su taking revenge but we have reached episode 16 and that plot is still nowhere to be found! Also the way he forgave her It didn’t make sense to me! She ruined his life because she THOUGHT you pitied her! Yet he still apologized to her!!! I don’t know I just wasn’t feeling it, but I have to say the kissing scenes are the ones make me *maybe* go back to watch it lol
  • Top Star Yoo Baek: This drama is definitely just on hold, I wanted to wait for all the episodes rather than watching only one a week! It’s a cute, light and funny drama, that’s truly enjoyable to watch!

III. Dramas that will air this month and I’m excited to watch:

1. Spring Must Be Coming:

I’m not super excited for this drama but I will definitely watch it for Lee Yu Ri! Also, the story and the teasers looked fun. I think it’s been a while since Lee Yu Ri started in a miniseries rather than a family or daily drama (correct me if I’m wrong)

Kim Bo-Mi (Lee Yu-Ri) works as a TV news anchorwoman and she only cares about herself. Lee Bom (Uhm Ji-Won) was once a popular actress, but she is now a lawmaker’s wife. She focuses only on taking care of her family. Somehow these two women switch bodies. (Cr. AsianWiki)

2. Kingdom:

I’m not a fan of zombies, I actually hate them lol I also hate scary things because I get scared really easily BUT did you see the line up for this drama? How can I miss it? Also thankfully It only has 6 episodes and they will all be released on Netflix! I will probably finish this in one day hehe

Crown Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji-Hoon) is denounced a traitor after the dead King comes back to life. He seeks out to uncover the truth behind people who turn into zombies after being starved. (Cr. AsianWiki)

3. Romance is a Bonus Book:

It’s Lee Jong Suk’s drama before he enlists in the army and Lee Na Young’s comeback after 9 years so I’m definitely not going to miss this! I’m the biggest fan of Lee Jong Suk but I always find myself watching his dramas/movies, he really has a good eye for projects, so hopefully, this one doesn’t disappoint!

Cha Eun-Ho (Lee Jong-Suk) is a genius writer and the youngest chief editor ever at his publishing company. He is smart and handsome. He is also even tempered at work, but he has a warm heart and a reasonable personality.

Kang Dan-Yi (Lee Na-Young) used to be a popular copywriter, but she is not anymore. She is now broke and unemployed. Even though she tries to find a job, due to her impressive career and excellent educational background, she is unable to find a new job. Finally, Kang Dan-Yi gets a job at a publishing company by lying about her background. Cha Eun-Ho is the chief editor at that publishing company. They begin to develop romantic feelings for each other. (Cr. AsianWiki)

IV. Drama that i have finished watching + My rating (from ⭐️ to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Well I haven’t finished any dramas this month unfortunately, As I said we are still stuck with 2018 dramas and someone of them hasn’t ended yet + some dramas have just started, so…hehe

V. Variety Shows:

  • Coffee Friends: I’m in love with this program, It’s so calming and fun to watch, the concept is simple and may look boring but somehow it’s enjoyable!
  • Knowing Bros: I’m only watching the show depending on the guest *unfortunately*

I think that’s it for this month, I hope I didn’t forget anything, I also feel like I’m not watching as much drama as I used to before lol. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments. Also don’t forget to tell me which dramas/Variety shows are you watching and which drama are you looking forward to watch this month.

See you guys in the comments section 💕
